Objectives, Strategies, & Tactics

Objective #1 - Enroll at least twenty children in our Oral Hygiene program at the IUPUI daycare before December 31st, by having signed permission slips in our hands.

Objective #2 - Secure funds ($20 per child) from the parents, if not, fundraise the money through GoFundMe page by December 31st.  (Approximately $400)  Also, we will offer an early-bird special of $15 per child if they register before November 15th.

Objective #3 - I would like to receive at least 75% of parents to recommend this program for next year on my end-of-program survey. 

Strategy #1 - I will build a re-targeting Facebook post on the Daycare’s page that redirects the parents to a marketing page about our program.  From this page, parents will be able to learn about the program, sign their children up, pay the fee, and receive discounts on all kinds of dental products and services.  It will also contain links to other student’s projects in order to promote networking amongst our classmates for other discounts and services they are trying to promote. 

Strategy #2 - We will send out permission slips with the children at the daycare with a QR code that directly links the parents to our site.  It will also include an opt-in text message link that will allow us to market directly to their cell phones.  This will be the most efficient way to establish two-way communication with our audience and get direct feedback in real time. We will require an electronic form of payment, but also state we have limited “scholarships” for those parents who aren’t able to pay the fee.  We will also ask the parents on the payment information page if they would like to sponsor a classmate by providing a “scholarship” for a fellow student.  We will also offer a discount before November 15th in order to promote early enrollment which allows us to have more time for fundraising. Our GoFundMe page will be featured on the Dental School’s Facebook Page and will be shared by everyone in my Hygiene Class.  Hopefully someone offers to cover the full $500 fee to be able to offer this program pro-bono to the whole daycare class. 

Strategy #3 - I will provide a follow up survey to all of the parents in order to measure the success of the program.  I will have 5 program questions with the last question being, “Would you recommend this program to next year’s daycare class, or would you sign your kid up again?” We will also offer a $5 discount for returning students or siblings of fellow daycare students. 

Tactic #1.1 - Engaging Visual Content: I will create visually appealing posts that highlight the benefits of the program, for example, happy children participating in activities, or testimonials from parents. This will be achieved by using eye-catching graphics and videos that showcase the fun and educational aspects of the facility.

Tactic #2.1 - Encourage QR Code Interaction: This will encourage parents to scan a QR code on the permission slips by adding an incentive, such as a chance to win a prize or a gift card for those who complete the sign-up process. I will promote this on my social media channels. This will help to engage parents to visit the site, and will also help to track participation rates.

Tactic #3.1 - Incentivize Feedback: In addition to the $5 discount for returning students, a small reward will be offered for completing the survey (a gift card to a local business or a family event pass to a local happening). This can increase participation rates by showing parents that their feedback is valued. This incentive will be promoted clearly in the participation survey.

Tactic #1.2 - Exclusive Offers and Promotions: By using Facebook or Instagram I can promote limited-time offers or discounts for early sign-ups. This will include a percentage off the program fee with special deals on dental products for parents who sign up early. These offers will be promoted through targeted ads to reach parents in the area, making sure to emphasize the added benefits of networking opportunities with other students’ projects on the marketing page.

Tactic #3.2 - Success Stories: After collecting survey responses, a follow-up post or email highlighting positive feedback and testimonials from parents who recommend the program will be added to website/social media platforms. This indicates proof and encourages new parents to consider signing their children up next year. Testimonials will include quotes from the survey and emphasize how the program has benefited the children, making it more appealing to other parents.
